The objective of Hampshire Interfaith Network (HIN) is the promotion of interfaith understanding, enhancing harmony between faiths for the benefit of the people of Hampshire.

Membership

Membership is open to individuals or groups belonging to the nine faiths represented on the UK Interfaith Network Council. ( The nine faiths are: Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Bahai, Jain and Zoroastrian.) Associate membership may be available at the discretion of the committee. Associates will not have voting rights on matters decided by HIN.

Officers and Committees

HIN will elect its officers at the AGM. Nominations for these may be made prior to or at the AGM. There should be the following officers elected
Chairperson
Secretary
Treasurer

picture of members a. Each of these officer posts will be jointly held by the Hampshire County Council members/staff until HIN sees itself as a viable entity. The Office holders shall be eligible for re-election for the coming years.

b. Any vacancy caused during the year shall be filled on a temporary basis by the membership at a meeting following   the vacancy arising.

c. The officers will have the power to set up sub-groups or working parties to organise, facilitate or research specific pieces of work.

Meetings

The annual general meeting (AGM) shall be held in May/June of each year. The chairperson's report and the treasurer's audited accounts shall be presented.

HIN should not meet less than 3 times per year, and the meetings shall be open to all members of the Network and invited guests.
